Coach Supervision and Mentoring
As an ICF Master Certified Coach with 22 years and 4,000 hours of experience, and who has taught coaching in industry at at Chicago Booth Business School, I'm at a point in my life where I want to contribute to other coaches and to the coaching profession. I do this through both coach supervision and coach mentoring. I'd love to support you.
Supervision
Coach supervision takes a broad, holistic approach to a coach's professional development and practice, with the supervisor working with the coach as a whole being, helping them become more conscious of where they might become 'caught' with a client due to their own mindsets, emotions and reactivity. Supervision helps the coach see themselves and the client 'in relationship' and also helps expand this knowledge out into the client system, seeking to understand the clients behaviour in light of where they are placed in the organisation or culture. Key aspects of coaching supervision include: Reflective practice, surfacing ethical considerations, taking a systemic perspective, ongoing support and case discussions.
Why might you engage a supervisor? If you want to ensure that you are evolving as a coach, serving your clients in the best way and constantly increasing your skills and awareness, coach supervision is an ideal relationship of respect and development. Supervision is for new coaches and wise, established coaches alike.
What does a session look like? You bring a 'situation' to each session. This could be something you felt didn't go well in a coaching session, or somewhere you are stuck or just an area where you feel there is some growth possible and we discuss for one hour, ending in some practices to employ in future sessions.
What is my supervision approach? I use the ICF framework for coaching skills insight but also two psychological frameworks for coach self-awareness and knowledge, IFS and Psychosynthesis and two systemic frameworks/approaches for deepening understanding of the larger context you and you clients work in; Organisational Constellations and Barry Oshry's Power & Systems work.
IFS (Internal Family Systems): IFS conceptualises the mind as composed of multiple parts or subpersonalities, each with its own perspective and role, led by a core Self. When applied to coach supervision, IFS offers a unique framework for enhancing self-awareness, resolving internal conflicts, and fostering personal growth for both coaches and their clients. . I am IFS Level One trained by IFS UK.
Psychosynthesis: Psychosynthesis is a holistic therapeutic approach that integrates psychological and spiritual aspects of human experience. By incorporating the spiritual or transpersonal aspects, this form of supervision can address deeper questions of meaning, purpose, and values in your coaching practice. I am completing my MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology and Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in 2025.
Constellations: Organisational Constellations view organisations as interconnected systems, considering the whole rather than isolated parts. Through creating a “living map” of the organisation, representing key elements such as people, departments, goals, and abstract concepts, we surface intuitive insights into hidden dynamics and underlying patterns, conflicts, and relationships that may not be immediately apparent through traditional analysis. I trained in Organisational Constellations for one year with Judith Hemming at Moving Constellations.
Power & Systems: Barry Oshry’s Power & Systems work argues that many organisational issues are systemic rather than personal. Oshry identifies four key organisational spaces: Tops, Middles, Bottoms, and Customers and he observed recurring patterns of behaviour across various organisations, regardless of size, industry, or location. These patterns often lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and inefficiencies. By understanding their clients position within their systems, coaches can improve their coaching interventions. I am certified in both Oshry's Organization Workshop and When Cultures Meet workshop.

Coach Mentoring
Coach mentoring is primarily focused on developing specific coaching skills and competencies, often in alignment with professional standards set by organisations like the International Coach Federation (ICF). I am an ICF MCC (Master Certified Coach) and Mentor Coach.
Key aspects of coach mentoring include:
- Skill development: Focuses on improving the coach's ability to demonstrate specific competencies
- Credential preparation: Often used to help coaches prepare for accreditation or certification
- Observed practice: Typically involves reviewing recorded or live coaching sessions
- Feedback-driven: Provides specific feedback on the coach's performance against established criteria
- Time-limited: Usually occurs over a defined period
I have mentored over 125 coaches to successful ICF assessment through the Henley Business School Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching as well as privately, and would love to help you with your accreditation process.
Why might you engage a mentor coach? If you are applying for certification with the International Coach Federation you will need 10 hours of mentor coaching, 3 hours of which need to be one to one.
What does a session look like? You send me a transcript of a recording of a coaching session, 30 - 45 mins long, and I review this against the ICF competencies, at the level of accreditation you are applying for (ACC, PCC or MCC). We then meet for 60 mins and I give you feedback on where your strengths are and where you still need to develop in order to achieve the accreditation.
How much does it cost? Each session costs £200 plus VAT.
How long should we work together? I can provide all 10 hours of your ICF required mentoring hours. Or just the 3 that need to be one to one.
